Dear friend,

Barack Obama and his socialist allies are undertaking the biggest power grab in the history of the United States. Subversion and dictatorship are strong words, but may, frighteningly, be the right words for what will result.

The truth is, the United States Constitution is being overthrown by domestic enemies of our Republic, and the rights guaranteed us, we the people of the United States, within the greatest of all political documents, have been stolen by a determined socialist ruling elite — Barack Obama, Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid, Ted Kennedy, Barney Frank and others — that now governs from the quasi- “kingdom” of Washington, D.C.

What’s more, this theft has been building to this crisis for decades . . . in incremental but ever-growing degrees.

And now the White House — home to the most powerful office in the world — is occupied by a man who, according to the available evidence, may well be constitutionally ineligible to even be President!

But there’s been barely a peep of dissent from either the mainstream media or our elected officials. Even the judicial courts dismiss case after case brought by patriotic citizens who demand to know the truth . . . because they’re afraid.

You see, the courts know that if they follow the evidence AND defend the Constitution as they should, there will likely be protesting and disorder, perhaps even rioting across the country. So they’ve chosen to trash the Constitution, rather than risk angering the supporters of Barack Obama . . . a.k.a. “The One.”

And once again, the Constitution is victim to the political machinations of the radical Left. Frankly, time is running short for America to survive as a constitutional Republic.

I, for one, say, “Enough!” And I’ve written this important letter to tell you there is one way to stop this disaster from befalling our nation. Please keep reading . . .

My friend, you may remember me as Ronald Reagan’s Ambassador to the United Nations. Or perhaps you’re familiar with my campaign for the presidency . . . a campaign in which I highlighted our nation’s precipitous fall from the moral values that are our strength, as well as the loss of American sovereignty as we rapidly slide toward socialism.

And while we achieved much success, I realized that any real and lasting change must come from the bottom up, from the grassroots, from you.

And Minuteman Civil Defense Corps — those patriotic volunteers who watch over our nation’s borders — has the answer to end the assault on our liberties and freedoms. It’s called the Liberty Tree Project.

You see, Minuteman Civil Defense Corps (MCDC) realizes the attack on the Constitution has been relentless. The rights for which our forefathers bled and died have been tossed aside like so much rubbish. Consider:

• Barack Obama has steadfastly refused to release his original birth certificate proving whether or not he is a natural born citizen and thus constitutionally eligible to be President. In fact, he has hired an army of lawyers to fight any and all attempts to force him to produce the document.

• Barack Obama has hijacked the decennial census, stealing it away from the Commerce Department — the group mandated by the Constitution to perform the census — and put it under the purview of political thug Rahm Emanuel. And the corrupt liberal-activist group ACORN is being paid with your tax dollars to help tally it!

• Barack Obama has appointed as Attorney General — the chief law enforcement officer of the United States — Eric Holder, who last year argued that the Second Amendment does not protect the right of an individual like you to keep and bear arms.

• Barack Obama has officially made America a socialist nation by instituting repressive government control over private businesses — controlling corporations and industries, hiring and firing CEOs, setting pay, etc.

• Barack Obama has called for the repeal of the federal Defense of Marriage Act, which will force the vast majority of states with laws against same-sex marriages to recognize those “marriages” performed elsewhere.

• Barack Obama has called for the expansion of “hate crimes” laws to prohibit criticism of homosexual behavior… a move that will result in Christians being jailed for speaking the biblical truth about homosexuality. And even now, Congress has passed “hate crimes” legislation that will give special rights to not just homosexuals, but pedophiles, drag queens, and the transgendered as well . . . and at the same time trample our rights to free speech!

• Barack Obama has nominated Harold Koh — a fervent supporter of the unconstitutional use of international law in interpreting U.S. law — to be the senior legal advisor to the State Department.

And this is just the tip of the iceberg.

Our government now holds within its hands the power to turn America into a dictatorship.

You see, we are under constant surveillance. Our phone calls, emails, and who knows what else are all monitored by the government. Cameras on streets, in businesses, at ATMs and on surveillance satellites — cameras that can read the print on a matchbook cover from space! — watch our every move.

What’s more, the government knows more about us than even our closest friends, with its unrestricted access into our credit card purchases, our medical and school records . . . and by simply running our names through Internet search engines.

Big Brother has arrived.

And now, Obama’s Secretary of Homeland Security, Janet Napolitano, has branded those who disagree with the government’s intrusive direction as possible terrorists — including military men and women returning from the Gulf region.

But that’s not all. The Federal Communications Commission, under Obama’s “leadership,” has appointed a “diversity committee” to push for more “fair” (that means liberal) ownership of radio and television stations. This is an end move around the First Amendment in hopes of repressing conservative and Christian reporting, and quashing constitutionalism!

And in case you think I’m exaggerating the danger, read this comment from Cass Sunstein, President Obama’s nominee to head the White House Office of Information and Regulatory Affairs (and mentioned as a possible replacement for retiring Supreme Court Justice David Souter):

“A system of limitless individual choices, with respect to [the Internet], is not necessarily in the interest of citizenship and self-government. Democratic efforts to reduce the resulting problems ought not be rejected in freedom’s name.”

They’re even talking about instituting a “Fairness Doctrine” for the Internet in which posters would be required to link to opposing views. What’s worse, Sunstein wants a 24-hour “cooling off period” before you can send an email!

To be frank, Minuteman Civil Defense Corps’ plan may be our last best hope. And I want to share it with you.

But first you must realize that George Washington, John Adams, Benjamin Franklin, Thomas Jefferson, James Madison, and a host of other Founding Fathers left us with a republic — a representative form of government limited by an agreed upon charter . . . the United States Constitution. When asked by a citizen what form of government the founders had agreed upon, Franklin answered, “A republic… if you can keep it.”

And that, my friend, is exactly the predicament in which we find ourselves today. We have NOT been able to keep our republic. We are losing our freedoms and our rights, rapidly becoming governed by mob rule. And that mob is enamored of the man sitting in the Oval Office, the one pushing for the demise of our order, our liberty, and our Constitution.

But all is not hopeless.

You see, I agree with Minuteman Civil Defense Corps that we have the duty and the power to reclaim our government. All we need do is reassert our rightful ownership of the United States.

How? With history as our guide.

Our colonial forefathers faced a similar challenge. A tyrannical monarch seated in London ruled the people in the thirteen American colonies . . . not unlike the way “King” Obama rules from his throne at the White House.

But George Washington and his fellow patriots stared down the enemy that sought to continue its subjugation of the American people. First, they created Committees of Correspondence — organizations to get word of British crimes and American response out to the people. By 1772, more than 100 towns in Massachusetts alone had these committees to share “the rights of the colonists, and of this province in particular, as men, as Christians, and as subjects; to communicate and publish the same to the several towns in this province and to the world as the sense of this town.”

Next came the Committees of Safety — assemblies of patriotic Americans who worked together on numerous issues . . . one which was raising militias of defense.

And now it is time to revive the historic militia, the citizen army that defended Americans from domestic and foreign enemies.

The fact is our government — the President, Congress, and the Courts — has shown over and over that they are NOT going to protect us. Instead, they are daily placing the shackles of bondage upon the citizenry of America.

One of the great rallying points of the Revolutionary War was this quote by Thomas Paine: “These are the times that try men souls. The summer soldier and the sunshine patriot will, in this crisis, shrink from the service of his country; but he that stands it NOW deserves the love and thanks of man and woman.”

The question, my friend, is this: in this time of national calamity, as our elected government fails to uphold the U.S. Constitution, will you shrink or stand?

Because you see, the future of America rests squarely on the shoulders of patriotic Americans like you. Without your support, and that of like-minded citizens, our country will surely decline past the point of no return. We’re already teetering on the precipice of disaster. Consider this:

• Our national debt is now over 11 trillion dollars . . . and growing at a rate of nearly $4,000,000,000 each day!

• The President may be compelled to re-deploy American troops to the Mexican border, to contain escalating international drug gang violence there.

• Traditional marriage is under constant attack nationwide by an activist agenda-driven court system that seeks to impose same-sex marriage on every state.

• Pornography is a $20 billion a year industry in the United States, targeting not just adults with their filth, but your children as well, yet the courts routinely overturn legislation aimed at protecting kids from this filth.

• Tens of thousands of illegal aliens swarm across our southern border every year — including rapists, drug dealers, kidnappers, murderers, anarchists, terrorists, and more — while Mr. Obama refuses to reinforce our southern border security systems.

• Proposed federal “hate crime” laws, designed to promote deviant lifestyles, are being used to silence Christians from speaking out on moral issues by threatening us with fines and even jail for sharing God’s word.

• Public schools are filled with taxpayer supported “clubs” glamorizing the homosexual lifestyle . . . and enticing your kids into this sinful — and deadly — existence.

• Socialism has taken control as the federal government — under Barack Obama — is now firing CEOs of private companies and threatening to set salaries as well.

My friend, the time to act is NOW!

Quite frankly, we haven’t a moment to lose.

You see, we must grab hold of what little remains of our freedom because each and every day a bit more is lost. We have ceased to be individual citizens imbued with inalienable rights. Instead, we’ve become Social Security numbers, expected to follow the Obama march to socialism like mind-numb automatons.

But as I said earlier, there is hope. MCDC’s Liberty Tree Project is starting Committees of Correspondence and Committees of Safety across the country. The Committees of Correspondence are comprised of those patriotic Americans who are taking the time to let their family, friends, neighbors, and others know what is happening in our country. They’re writing letters to the editor, speaking at their church and civic groups, and calling their legislators.

That’s right. According to U.S. Code Section 311, “The militia of the United States consists of all able-bodied males at least 17 years of age and, except as provided in section 313 of title 32, under 45 years of age who are, or who have made a declaration of intention to become, citizens of the United States and of female citizens of the United States who are members of the National Guard.”

Liberty Tree’s Committees of Safety are opening this opportunity up to all American men and women, with no upper age limit.

Frankly, there’s no other organization out there with the capability of setting up Committees of Safety like MCDC’s Liberty Tree Project. After all, they’ve got chapters in every state right now AND they have a thorough vetting process to weed out troublemakers and undesirables.

Simply put, the United States has lurched to the left under the narcissistic “leadership” of Obama and his socialist allies in Congress. And the court system — all the way up to the United States Supreme Court — has failed miserably in its duty to protect you and me from what may ultimately prove to be the greatest constitutional crisis in our nation’s history.
